Bart developed the OptionAgentâ„¢ trading strategy during the pandemic as an opportunity to take advantage of systematic market volatility. Initially meant as a pastime while stuck at home, results soon exceeded expectations so it became a key focus, next to the Sophatar digital signage & mobile marketing business he started years ago.
Earlier on, Bart worked for various technology companies at the semiconductor and OEM level. He was VP Product Marketing at NASDAQ-listed Audience (before its acquisition by Knowles), a $160M annual revenue supplier of voice and audio processors for mobile handsets.
Before that, in reverse order, he was business director for Cypress Semiconductor's touchscreen product line, executive director of business management at Maxim Integrated Products for multiple product lines, product line manager at Silicon Labs for video products, and WW marketing manager for mixed-signal video products at Texas Instruments.
Bart started his career in his native Belgium at Barco, a leading supplier of professional digital display and projector solutions.
Bart holds a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ghent in Belgium, an MBA degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and is the author / co-author of 6 issued patents. He passed the FINRA/NASAA (North American Securities Administrators Association) Series-65 examination which qualifies him to become a Registered Investment Adviser.
